"Denied" Group - Need Your Help
"Denied" Group - Need Your Help Hey, trying to figure something out and need your help. I know that many of you told me the Live From AFF showing up as denied after last weeks broadcast. I changed the text in the main profile to add a list of times for the weekly broadcast. This put my group into "pending" status. I've been trying like mad to recreate the "denied" part. Here's my questions: 1) Did it show your profile as denied? 2) Did it show the group as denied? 3) Can you get into the chat if it's in pending status? I've heard a lot of "denied" related things this week and I'm trying to narrow it down. Today the same thing happened to Girls Watching Guys On Cam and I heard from many of you. Just between you and I, there is a quick fix for this: - As a group moderator, go into the "Edit Group Settings" - At the very bottom there is a checkbox to "Disable" the group. Check it and save. - After you can go right back into the Group Settings and turn the group back on. This resets everything and your group will no longer be in Pending status. You're changes in the group description will be saved too. Credit to NascarFox for this workaround. |

When It was "denied" I could not enter the group from my home page or from the group main page. Affairlook Parody Of a Real Sex Site

When I started my group, it was denied because I included a blog post link. The system thought I had included a phone number. The CS agent that looked at it could not get the system to bypass the post link and approve it. I had to remove the link to get it approved. It does not like numbers in a group description. If the group is pending, someone cannot join the group. A person that is already a member can enter the chat. We did that the first week when we explained to you how to get it out of pending. There were people waiting to join that couldn't until you did that. The denial status showed up on my main group page. The pending status showed up when I entered the Live from Affairlook main page.

I can't help you with the Live group being denied, because I didn't try to get in there when it was denied. However, in the group I am an associate mod in, when the group is denied, it shows up on my main page as denied by my list of groups. It shows on the main group page where it lists my groups as denied. I can get into the chat room through the group chat page, but in no way can you get the the group page or posts. Also, it is great that the mods can fix it. But what about us associate mods? It would be nice if we could also make this fix; as sometimes our group stays denied for a long time because obviously the mod can't be around all the time. In a large group like ours it would be nice if associate mods had the same privileges as the mods if that is what the mod wishes. Maybe the mod could use settings to allow us to do certain things like fix the denied group or ban abusive members and spammers immediately. Just some things the associate mods in my group would like to be able to do.

Not to negate any credit given; however, the work around of group in pending or denied status has been around for 4 years and was first made known to moderators by the members of For Serious Minded Moderators. For Serious Minded Moderators is a group that addresses all bugs that effect groups. Sad thing is that Various Inc. does not want to acknowledge that group and all that it has contributed over the past several years to this site. A few of us that post in your threads in your Blog are members of that group Ryan. Even a former moderator of that group and founding member of it that composed its description and rules. You want answers to bugs that effect the groups...try reading the achieves of For Serious Minded Moderators. You will find a whole shit load of information and work around in that group alone that is one of the least appreciated groups and members by this site. Nick

Too bad, I've seen it before.

Wouldn't it just be simpler in the whole to FIX the problem? Perhaps I'm being too simplistic here because it seems that the topics to hit this blog are simply palliative in nature- we're working on it... and I have seen very few real fixes, with "upgrades" seeming to create more bugs than they actually resolve. As the moderator of a group - occasionally I will need to enter the settings to make adjustments, and those have even been denied or put the group into a pending status. After a bit of time staring at the screen and pushing buttons .. I solved it myself. Now I wait to have a multitude of wholesale changes to make - and do them all at once... meaning I only have to fix it once.

Secondly, there is more times then not even when a group has been placed into denied status that the workaround without editing any character will pull the group out of denied status. Keep in mind that even if you have done the disabled to enabled work around the group can still appear as in denied status to you on your screen. But the group in actuality is not any longer in the denied status. Reason is that the pages are cached to your browser along with cookies. I know this as fact since a group that I originated and moderated (The Likeminded Ones) over 4years ago was placed into denied status over 30 times in one day because of a disgruntle former member banned from the group that abused the "request review" button (link) and also the group rating war declared by certain other groups. Girls watching guys is back on denied again...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

This is my suspicion, too, although I haven't tried it out to confirm it. I had problems getting the revised description of my group Ladies and Gentlemen approved. All I changed were some of the font colours, and what had previously been an approved description was suddenly denied because of "inclusion of phone number and email address," which wasn't true. I asked in the Site Support Blog for help getting it approved, and Mr. Potter said that the reason it was denied was because I had a specific combination of words in the text that triggered the site censors to flag the group for review. I'm not totally convinced that this is really the reason for the group being denied.

Today I was checking my groups and the Masturbation group had me as "pending". I had posted my monthly post and added two other posts today. Then the "pending" had changed to "denied". Is the moderator the one who "denied" me or is it a Affairlook glitch? Really need help with this. Thanks
