Why?

Why? We have been in the lifestyle for a few years now and then left for a short time to deal with personal matters. We came back to the site in late February. One of the things that seems to keep standing out to us is the lack of respect and descretion in some matters. I guess my first why would be: Why is it that when it has been brought to your attention that you were out of line, did not follow the No means NO rule, or that you have offended someone, a person can't just seem to say ... oh no I am so sorry I did that I never intended to hurt or offend you in any way. Own up to what you did and show that you really mean it. Don't turn around and add posts to topics or other blogs saying and doing the opposite thing. Or analize a valid beef someone has to death and twist things around to mean something totally different trying to make yourself actually look like you were in the right for what you did, when you arent. Why is it that some people feel the need to boast that they were at a gathering where there was mild flirting but make it sound like it was ALOT more than it really was? Does this make you feel cool? Have you ever thought that possibly you are making yourself look like an idiot? Where is the descretion in boasting about what happened at an event or who was doing what with someone else? Who gave you the right to blab to others who was with who and what they did or did not do? Why does there seem to be the lack of respect for each other now? It used to be that when you saw someone was interested in another person/couple you gave them room to see if it was going to go further you didnt go push your way into the mix, ultimately ending what was already in progress so you could move the attention to yourself. Are you so insecure in your abilities to attract someone that you need to take over another attraction already in progress? I guess those are the main things bugging me right now. Some of which I have been on the recieving end off others I have seen friends deal with. I just find it sad how people just do not seem happy lately unless they are stirring up trouble. The lifestyle can be very difficult at times and if you have a partner it means constant talking and being open with each other. But when you have other people in the lifestyle not respecting the boundaries or the rules it really makes a person wonder do you really need this in your life? I know it takes all kinds to make the world go round but good lord some people need to take a step back and take a look at what they are doing and how they are making others feel and care less about themselves. The lifestyle aside we are still human and have feelings that get hurt. Just my thoughts/feelings on the things that have been bothering me lately. NOT directed anyone or anything in particular going on. Blushin |

well Since I am as confused as Blushin on these same points, there is not much I can say. I do wonder why some people can't take no for an answer and just keep coming back trying again and again. If it wasnt for the friends I have made on this site, I do wonder if I would still be hanging around.

In general, some people can't take "NO" for an answer and some people don't take rejection very well. Others have issues within their own realtionships that needs to be addressed and therefore creates even more conflicts when mixed into a group such as this.

Well apparently none of us know the answer's to the why's. It seems that in this lifestyle we are bound to run into these things like it or not. Telling it like it is wasnt really my intention, it came from frustration and yes hurt feelings. Whether they were my own or someone close to me. One thing I did learn though is that I am not alone in these thoughts and that having put it down and worked it out in my head has helped me get rid of the frustration and yes probably some of the anger. Time will tell if/when I run into the individuals that brought on alot of these why questions how I will deal with it. I thank you all for your comments. Blushin

Am I Guilty as Charged ? It Take's 2 . A closed hand yeild's nothing nor can it accept anything. Hand In Hand ,Wonder's are Built. No one is with out Fault !
