The Future Was Predicted 28 Years Earlier. I Missed It I was scouting for a movie last night so I grabbed an old favorite, Animal House. How can you go wrong with Animal House? I've seen this movie maybe 100 times and yet last night I discovered something that has eluded me since 1978. Animal House predicted the future! It hit me during the Delta House party. The band was Otis Day and the Knights! Remember that scene? "You make me want to shout". Great song and a great version. Yep Otis Day and the Knights. Ring a bell? As soon as it hit me I stopped the movie and threw in The Da Vinci Code. Yep, there it was right in front of me. In 1978 Animal House was released and had Otis Day and the Knights. Otis day...the secret society in The Da Vinci Code. And the knights? Obviously referencing the Knights of Columbus. Fits nicely. I never knew that Animal House was so visionary. Ahead of it's time in comedy and future predicting. Maybe the director, John Landis, was trying to alert all of us about this society's activities. Maybe we are all in danger. Maybe there are more hidden secret messages in the movie?? I always suspected something fishy in the shooting scene. in 1969 They Shoot Horses Don't They was released. Maybe I need to reference that movie too? And then there is that scene where Belushi talks about the Germans bombing Pearl Harbor. I wasn't there...maybe it was the Germans. Our government has had it's share of cover ups. Watergate, White Water, the Chenney shooting/heart troubles/impeachment, Billy Carter. Hmm, trust me , I'm not letting go of this one! I know when I smell a scoop, and I'm not talking kitty litter either. I'll check back when I either crack this sucker wide open...or I'm committed.  [blog talldarkavg1] |

Wouldn't be so bad being put into funny farm, ya know -- they make sure that you don't hurt yourself, give you room and board and meals etcetera, and they give you drugs. I keep debating on whether I need a vacation or a nervous breakdown....

. Then again, there might be some cross-pollination with the movie, "1941." Not that strafing the Sunset Strip is necessarily a bad thing... Hey, if you're scooping, I'll take a double of Chicken-Viscera Crunch, please!!! Sorry. My Master finally let me out of the dog house, and there's all sorts of territory to mark! (Sure hope those slacks can be dry cleaned...) Woof!!! .

There's only one flaw in your theory... Animal House is completely devoid of hulking, homicidal albino monks. I know Tom Hulce was quite pallid in Mozart, but I don't think that counts. karlbloggerfeld - Dry-humping your legs since 2007.

Oh wow...***huge sigh of relief***...THANK YOU so much, now I can finally go to sleep and sleep well cause you're on the case, I can rest easy once again. It was getting pretty close to manic for me...yanno?  I make mistakes, I am out of control & at times hard to handle.
