Crown of Thorns

I have a plant the Crown of Thorns she would not flower. I tried fertilizing her, threatening her and still no bloom. Months went by and still no flowers. Then one day out of the blue she bloomed... in her own time she said.

Topics may be thorny...but always real.

Do not go gentle into that good night

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Dylan Thomas, 1914 - 1953

What's your verse?

O Me! O Life!

Walt Whitman, 1819 - 1892
O Me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring;
Of the endless trains of the faithless—of cities fill’d with the foolish;
Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?)
Of eyes that vainly crave the light—of the objects mean—of the struggle ever renew’d;
Of the poor results of all—of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me;
Of the empty and useless years of the rest—with the rest me intertwined;
The question, O me! so sad, recurring—What good amid these, O me, O life?

Answer.

That you are here—that life exists, and identity;
That the powerful play goes on, and you will contribute a verse.

On my Feet not on my Knees... that's my verse whats yours ?

A Baby Girl just for me

Oh where, oh where, can she be a baby girl just for me.
Sweet and tender and oh so fine a baby girl to be all mine.

Tired and broken by this world she is, just looking for a daddy.
Come to me oh baby girl, sit on daddies lap.
Lay your head on daddies shoulder, let daddy hold you; all you have to do is......Melt.

Tell daddy how life has been and how the world has broken you.
A Sweet and tender kiss you'll feel, with strong arms to hold you
Safe and secure you will be, a baby girl just for me

Why don't Caribbean people blog?

So I went Blog hopping in the Caribbean, and was amazed that very few people actually blog! I counted 20 Caribbean States in the Blog list. What was more shocking more men actually had more posts than women.

Hell I am no Nobel Laureate (I am the kinda guy, Bright like a and hung like Einstein). Having said that, come on people share your experiences (you gotta have more than me)!! Come tell the world who you are and what you are about!!

Or maybe there are just too many intellectuals among us.

(An intellectual is a person who has discovered something more interesting than sex.
Aldous Huxley)

The Economics of Sex

So I was washing my car on Boxing day, with random thoughts running through my head. (Gotta think about something right.)

Then the thought occurred to me. Which social or economic class ($~High-income earner, $~middle income earner, low income earner) was or is skilled in the best sex you ever had ? And would you fuck, make love to a person not in your social or economic circle ?

(Just curious about the choices people make based on the net-worth or social status of others.)

Find what you love and let it kill you.

What the hell!!

That was my first thought on reviewing this quote but i am getting ahead of my self.
While roaming the net on one of my favorite sites. One topic of the day was "To Eat or Not....?". The user was informing the group about the risk of performing oral sex on a woman and contracting the HPV-14 virus.

While the responses ranged form funny to sarcastic, the most unique response to the thread was this quote "Find what you love and let it kill you"; By Charles Bukowski.

His full quotation reads, "My dear, Find what you love and let it kill you. Let it drain you of your all. Let it cling onto your back and weigh you down into eventual nothingness. Let it kill you and let it devour your remains. For all things will kill you, both slowly and fastly, but it's much better to be killed by a lover.

~ Falsely yours"

Charles Bukowski.

So have you found what you love? And more importantly will you let it kill you.

It's so strange..laughable even, the number one complaint here is people
can't make Connections.

In this day of Radio, Television, Cell Phones, Internet Access people still can't seem to connect. Silver and Gold access does not guarantee you a connection. Fake profiles abound here, created by people who just can't make a connection.

So how do you make a connection, how do you attract the right kind of people to you? It's simple.... be real, and respect the fact that what you are searching for might not be found here.
