Checking In...

I thought I would give this site a quick browse during my day.

It snowed way too much here in Tulsa. The last I checked I have about 6 inches covering my driveway, front and back yards. Needless to say I have not even tried to go anywhere since last Saturday afternoon. I ended up cancelling any appointments I had out of the house this week because there is no way I'm going to try to get out of my driveway as well as out of my neighborhood.

The abundance of snow has prevented any further progress on my patio with the installation of my swim spa and my new patio furniture. The weather has also delayed the installation of the privacy fence around my backyard, which I am so excited over the fortress that the fence will provide, just insuring more privacy!!

I've managed to keep my patio greenhouse in tip top shape through this bitterly cold spell. I did have to get up during the night when the second round of snow, which was wet snow fell and go out and brush it off of the pitched roof of the greenhouse. I found out way back with the first wet snow that the ceiling of the greenhouse will collapse if left there to accumulate. It was just what needed to happen, though the puppy wasn't sure what to think with his human mommy getting him up and outside at 1:00 am. Then we went back out at 5: am to make sure any additional build up since 1:00 am was swept off of the roof of the greenhouse. The temperature has been around 50 degrees in the greenhouse and when the temps went down into the minus category, the heaters plugged along at 40 degrees. I was very relieved because there is no way I could ever replace all those huge patio plants. Besides the actual monetary value, there is the sentimental values. I would never be able to replace any of them!.

I did get a standard poodle puppy the first of February. While the puppy is a lot of work, I am so thrilled to have a companion again. The cat is totally pissed at me and hisses at the puppy through the wire crate I put in the hallway door so that the puppy doesn't wonder to the other parts of the house. Nothing like a ball of energy to get this old gal moving much more than I have been doing. Not to mention lifting my spirits here with this winter weather seclusion happening.

I am ready for all the snow to melt so I can get my backyard oasis back on track. I'm hoping that when my fire pit and super comfy patio chairs come at the end of next week I'll be ready to set them in place.

My sex toys that I bought for myself for Christmas are AMAZING!!! No need for a man with those beauties on the night stand!!

That's my report from Tulsa in Tulsaliza's little world!!!

I think it funny and ironic that OK got more snow than KS.

Glad you are doing as well as can be hoped.
