BUSTED There are so many different ways to begin a blog. Every once in a while I encounter a blog that opens with a threat. Here's one I found last night. Check this out and tell me how you would respond if you were the target of such a threat? [post 3717744]  |

OH WoW...the poor woman, I feel bad for her,but she spewed hard....good for her! Hes a douche, and her life would be so much better without him, but she needs to find out by herself. I hope she figures it out more sooner then later. My Mom was 8months prego with my brother,and my other brother was 3,and I was 5...yeah, he was a douche too, and things only got worse....

I wouldn't know how to respond because I never cheated, never betrayed anyone's trust. His wife deserves better. I'd never give him another chance. Ever. Wow...just wow...so so so very sad, pregnant and all  Someone was just telling me about leaving their phone open and the girlfriend reading his texts with another, where he was talking about the gf... sometimes too much info, too directly like that can truly break your heart. Been cheated on, found out, in a very clear and unexpected way too. I've decided never to snoop again. Yes it's better to know but it hurts too much when it's so direct.

Well, we got one side of the story anyway. I'm inclined to believe her, for what it's worth. But I have read a lot of things on the interweb, and I think I can safely say that things are not always as they appear. How would I react if I were the target? I'd not be pleased I reckon but her description doesn't fit me, and would never have fit me, so it's unanswerable in any event. I don't think I'm quite ready to join a lynch mob just yet. You are quite correct to point these things out. Yes, it is but one side. It could even be total bullshit from some blogger doing a pisstake on us. I am just the messenger here.  Wait. That's dirty laundry.   It's not supposed to be so funny!  There is much greed and depravity in the world. We are becoming cynical.  But it's amusing when it happens to someone else.  Taking the story at face value, she's screwed.  She's going to give him "1 last chance". (How many more times will she say that?)  And it sounds like they are both going to be miserable. .. A miracle could happen. He could CHANGE! ... But she it sounds like she is going to hold this over him for a while. (And since this doesn't sound like new behavior, I doubt he will change.) There is likely more to this sad story. I think they are both doomed.

Ummm, yah that is awkward... The back story is everything though.... At 1st read this is a Gerry Springer episode... and likely is... Forget the 2nd chance. If a guy has gone as far as put up a profile AND meet up (we all assumed that but not necessarily)... he's not in it...

Anything is possible with profiles in this place. I will never be more interested in it than what I read in the actual post. I will not try to determine it's veracity. Too time consuming, and often indeterminate. I took that post at face value, and put it up for discussion.

Seriously? An attention whore? You have followed my blog, and read my comments all these years, and this is what you believe of me? Regarding the gender issue, I have not seen a comment here that states that it is a "sisterhood right or wrong" view. Until yours. I agree that a mob moves without considering all angles of an argument. kzoo, and others have offered tempering viewpoints. This mob seems rather tame, actually. I totally disagree about whether this is my business. It was a public blog posted in a public forum and is being discussed here publicly as per usual in blogging circles. I have no moral problem with what I have done. I find this stuff fascinating in a train-wreck sort of way, and I suppose that is not my finest quality, but oh well. If ya wanna be disappointed in me, I would rather it was for that.
