Why Blog?

Why Blog? One of the main attractions that draws me to BlogLand is the diversity to be found here. The rank humanity all around me, exposing me to ideas and outlooks that would not occur to me in my usual walk-a-day life. On the one hand, the particular foibles found among all these folks is fine fodder for my satire. At the same time I'm learning, receiving an education by fitting myself in different shoes and walking around in em for a bit. Yes, BlogLand is a playground for me, but it is a learning playground nonetheless. What helpful things do you all find here, I wonder?  As always, blog on also, here is a pic from last winter recalling cooler days...  |

I hear ya! But, that's only because you wrote it down. I can't hear much of anything in a crowd of people I'm getting more and more deaf. So I'm pretty quiet these days, myself. I thought I'd be up this summer, but we are going to the Keys instead. Next summer is a trip across the pond, so it will be at least by the 3rd summer from now. All of my great aunts and great uncles have passed. Our reunions are now held all over the place rather than Pittsburgh every year like it used to be.  Oh well, blog on!

I enjoy reading the blogs more than writing them. And when I read them I look at all the comments that's what I find interesting different points of views    je ne regrette rien

Great photo. Thanks for sharing. I like the friends I've made through the blogs. Seeing as they are all over the world, and Oz, I get to read about their lives, all very different to mine. If it wasn't for the blogs, I would have left years ago, as the site is not what it used to be.

Thank you, thank you! Spread that "blog on" everywhere you go. Ha! "fodder" was um, ah... indelicate??? as a word to use for a human being, but I had reasons. I chose it for its alliterative value. I needed words that began with "f". Do not fear, I do not satirize individual bloggers unless they are acting in one of my blog-plays and have given permission to be named. (which is a requirement to be an actor in my plays anyway). No, I speak of a more general use of the things I see around here. The interactions in a blog war for example. There is much to be learned about human nature when these incidents happen. Watching folks transform before your eyes is quite informative. Oy. Can't you see how I love to talk, er type - even more than you? And I'm not even done with this comment yet! Let's see... oh yeah, I am presently blogging in my eleventh year here, and in all that time I have not seen fit to ban a single blogger from spouting off in The Venting Blog. Lastly, (which in retrospect should have lead off this here complicated comment) I wish to say: Welcome to The Venting Blog! I had been seeing your comments all over the place since I got here and I had been hoping you would find some time for a visit here. You have the humor and wit to be an awesome blogger, and I love blogging with awesomeness, so blog on!

Thank you, and welcome back, CRB! What you say is both interesting and perceptive. I had similar feelings, I guess. Wondering what sort of sex-fiend-deviants had I stumbled into, and would I fit in. I spent the first three days here furiously perusing the profiles, firing off letters (spent a buncha time crafting those) .... yadda yadda yadda...and then I hit the blog button. And you are so right. Most are regular decent folks. They just have tons of indecent ideas.  blog on!

I dunno, claim what you will, in the meanwhile all this talk of old comedy routines sent me in search just like ol Furbal up there. I just spent the last hour watching a loop of SNL routines from the 70's beginning with roseanne roseannadanna on yahooo. I swear, I think I busted a rib laughing. Thanks, you guys.
