keithcancook's Fables Once upon a time, a nation found itself in the middle of a rickety rope bridge above a deep dark chasm. The whole nation agreed that they were in great danger, and needed to get off that bridge before the old twisted threads which suspended them snapped from the heavy load. Half of the nation wanted to go left. The other half wanted to go right. As they argued the hours away the rope broke, and they all plunged into the abyss together. The End. |

Sounds pretty fictitious to me.  Something like that could never happen in real life.  The leaders of our tribes wouldn't let it happen. AKA The Clit Whisperer.

Looking from the outside in it's staggering that your pollies took so long to resolve this. And it would have affected the whole world (especially the Bank of China who seem to have a significant investment in the USofA! )

maybe but probably not---we owe 8 billion a month in debt interest we take in 85 billion a month so where is it that we could not pay that interest and start paying down the principle???
