The City of London Festival.

Last weekend it was the city of London festival. which is a festival that is about the trades people in the city of London. such as the Goldsmiths, and Silversmiths,Blacksmiths Farriers who shoe horses etc. Part of the festival were tours, and I visited the Church of Saint Brides, and also the crypt. I forget that this old church was the inspiration for the wedding cake tiers,on the wedding cake, as the church steeple is layered in four or is it five parts ( It,s o.k it has,nt given me any ideas) and there is a crypt from the plague times onwards with bones, skulls etc. It made me think there is so much history in London that you don't realize, and really nice buildings and architecture such as the Daily Telegraph building which I noticed riding on my green cycle along fleet street. and also I did not realize that Bow church and Bow bells is more central than I thought. So if you were born at Saint Bartholomews hospital, you would be born within Bow Bells. My cycle is such a bone shaker at the moment it rattles and clanks as I,m riding along the road. I also visited the old Twinings tea house which I did not know was there it was full of tourist and visitors.
That reminds me I must get my bicycle serviced, had my tight Little black dress, stilettos heals, and black tights on last night. Riding in the centre of London going to Soho Madame Jo,Jo,s which is free to Transvestites, Transgendered etc on a Wednesday night. Though there's me trying, and I do mean trying, to look elegant and sophisticated riding this old clan ky green dutch style rattling bicycle in the centre of London.( Though I did get a comment from a young man in a passing car, who wound down his window and shouted " if he could have a ride on my back seat"). Also it was so warm, humid and sticky and close last night. Though there was hardly any people in the club it was a good night dancing and the music by the DJ was very good, had most of the dance floor to ourselves.
They have all the flags of the world lined across Regent street for the Olympics, and these huge globes of the world in Carnaby street which are lit up at night with the woords Carnaby street encircling them. a little like the Daily Planet in Superman.
