The Sweetest Bling Contest We at Affairlook want to give you the chance to show off your artistic side with our new "Sweetest Bling" contest! Bling are cool new icons you can use to express yourself on Affairlook. You can use them in group, magazine and blog posts, as well as "gift" them to others and "take" them when viewing other member's profiles. They're not only fun, but they're also a great way to get noticed! Creating Bling is easy! Just go to the "Get Bling" page and use the Bling Editor to create your own graphics with the tools provided. For this contest, come up with the phattest, most eye-catching Bling that other members will want to take and use. The top 10 members with the most takes on their Bling get a chance to win a Gold membership! Use the Bling Editor to create your own unique Bling, then submit it as a comment to this post using the ID number located underneath the Bling. (Example: ) During the "creative" portion of the contest, your Bling must be set to private so only you can take it. Once the "creative" period has ended, you will need to set your Bling to public so it can be taken by other members. All entries must adhere to the Terms of Use. The deadline to enter your Bling creation is Friday, March 30, at noon Pacific Time. At that time, you will need to set your Bling to allow others to take it. The "taking" period ends Friday, April 6, at noon Pacific Time. We'll then hold a poll of the top 10 Bling with the most takes, and everyone will be able to vote on the Sweetest Bling! Winners will be announced Friday, April 13, by the end of the day. Here's what you need to do: 1. Design your new Bling! (It must be created specifically for this contest in order to qualify.) 2. Set your Bling to private so no one can take it. 3. Submit your entry as follows before the creative deadline: 4. Set your Bling to public once the "taking" period begins Friday, March 30, 2007 at noon Pacific Time. Rules and Requirements: 1. Maximum size is 20x20. 2. One entry per member. 3. The deadline to enter is Friday, March 30, at noon Pacific Time. 4. The "taking" period runs from Friday, March 30, at noon Pacific Time until noon Pacific Time on Friday, April 6, 2007. 5. The top 10 members with the most takes on their Bling get a chance to win a Gold membership. 6. The voting period begins on Friday, April 6, at noon Pacific Time and runs until noon Pacific Time on Friday, April 13, 2007. 7. Members may charge points for Bling, however this may lessen the chances of winning by reducing the number of takes. 8. Winners will be announced on Friday, April 13, 2007 by the end of the day. 10. All general contest rules apply.
Prizes: One 1-year gold membership or other paid feature(s) up to time equivalent. Two 6-month gold memberships or other paid feature(s) up to time equivalent. One 3-month gold membership or other paid feature(s) up to time equivalent. 500 points to all participants Ready...Set...Bling!
All entries submitted after 12pm Pacific Time will not be considered for this contest. |

I would like to send "love notes" to my man that loves to rifle through the newsgroups. I's post picts in line with the group (HARDCORE, CREAMPIE, etc) and add a note..Love you honey, or Wish that was you in my mouth or whatever is appropriate. He would see them with me there or at work. My special Bling to my special love

When checking to see where your Bling is relative to others, please click on the "Most Popular" link on the bling page and not on the "Most Popular (New This Week)" link. Keep in mind that when viewing the list on the "Most Popular" page, it contains bling with a lot of takes that were created before the contest began and have nothing to do with it, in addition to bling that were created for the contest that have a lot of takes. Confusing?  I hope not.Take my entry!

You can't tell who's winning. I'm not sure management knows. The Bling Manager is screwed up, or worse. See my question above, which the management has chosen to ignore. Just to add another question here: How do we (and of course the judges know) when people created these blings? I'm sure it said in the rules that it had to be specifically created for this competition. Does the website have a record of when they were first used? Note to moderators: I'm having the same problem with my "take count" not always showing up in the most popular this week page.

This has been a fun comptetition. Now that I know what sort of stuff is out there and what's popular, it would be great if they ran this again. I agree with drglitch that putting our own creative edge on things is more fun, rather than the photographic look. I'd like to do that next time. In the meantime, here's mine again: I think the other guys are going to romp it in with theirs, but if you do like mine, then please take it and put in another vote for me!

Photo bling is fairly easy but time consuming. 1. Down-res your photo to the same size as the desired bling using an editor such as photoshop. 2. Then just enter the rgb values for each corresponding cell in the bling editor. They are cool, but I think the most creative ones are painted by hand, not from a photo... Like this one   Its free. Go ahead, take it, I dare you!

To the management: I would like to know what is wrong with the Bling Manager. The listings of the most popular blings for the week are incomplete as of now. This a.m. ionlyshow's  had a wide lead in the contest, but now it is not listed at all. My own should also be near the top of the list, but it does not show up, either.Please advise.
