Here's where to post your ideas on what kind of contest you'd like to see and how you'd like to see them run. We're open to suggestion!

You should consider doing competitions separately for male and females. The Wet T-Shirt contest was very unfair to the male members that entered. One male out of 10 contestants for the final vote???

How about "create the best T-shirt for Affairlook contest"? Our current T-shirt design has been around and we could really use a dozen great designs!
This is an idea I have been pondering with for a while now. I have to be honest here, the design of the T-Shirt could use some improvements (It is not the type of T-Shirt that majority of people would wear in public)

How about new "phrases" that can be used. Like, "Match Dot Who??? Doesn't carry a stick like this (arrow underneath pointing down) one at HotMatch dot com" (T-Shirt for men)
"I light my "Fire of Desires" at Passion dot com" (T-Shirt for men and women)

"Want to play with me sexy??? Meet me and many others at AdultFriendFinder dot com

This is only a suggestion here.

Since these contest help in promoting and encouraging member activity. How about considering that the "Premium Memberships" come fully loaded with some or all the trimmings to them.

For instance: Standard Member Contact and Highlighted profile included in the Premium Membership given away.

I am one that will always say and believes that the best advertisement that can be used is word of mouth (or here it would be word of keyboard) and promoting all levels of a product.

Just a suggestion.

Nick (sharing my knowledge of management and marketing)

How about having different two catagories. singles and couples. and see who can come up with pics of sex in the outdoors, positions, most outfits/costumes or who has the most "TOYS." Just a thought let me know what you think

Perhaps the next writing contest, should have an Editor's Choice Prize and a Member's Voting Prize.... Also, on 12/11 the number of votes on some stories dropped.... Was this due to duplicate voting? If so, the voting needs to be set up where only one vote can be accepted per handle.... And as freetime648 suggests, extra care needs to be given to proofreading and the expliciteness of the rules. Personally, I only entered for the fun of writing the story and the feedback, wasn't very interested in the prizes etc. and it was a very good experience for me.... Don't understand why all the drama has to be created (not by you Freetime648 - you were the victim of it). Lets just have some fun and do this again....

Freetime648 I am so sorry I left off the numbers for your handle. I will make sure that next time we do a blog contest the handles of those entering the contest are posted properly.

What about a contest prize for the best suggestion and ideas that are used

How about a "Treasure Hunt" done in the Blogs? Something like where members have to find articles of clothing and little fun sexy toys and etc... (panties, bra's, handcuffs, vibrator, lubes, etc...) and whoever can collect the most within a period of time wins a prize like the memberships.

To making it fair with some rules, a member cannot use their own Blog and the Treasure they find must be from another members Blog that the member has a photo and only "one unique item" (no repeated items can be added in the list of treasure found) from each members blog may be entered to the contest. The member would have to list the item and what members Blog they found it in with a link to that Blog.

How about a contest for the most pimped up blog page? We'd probably have to come up more options (e.g., background graphics)...

This isn't really a contest, it's a suggestion. Maybe Affairlook could have a service where someone calls a blogger and reads new comments made to a blog post. This is really a nice service for when the member is too busy to check in during the day.

At first I wasn't going to write you with this idea. But the more I think about it, this really is a great service. Everyone should have it!
Do you realize the system overload that could create and the expense of doing something like that?

Sorry, but I do not think that would be a good idea; especially, with all the types of wireless technologies that can be used by the user whom purchase them to accessing the internet and this site.

I really like the idea of these contest that are being done; however, the current one leaves me to wondering as to why there has been no updates to the "Success Stories"since 2005 that the link appears on the Magazine Home Page. Almost 2 months ago I submitted a posting for it and nothing ever came from it.

Something else would be nice to seeing again, and that is actual members of the site being interviewed by the staff writers. I remember when Justron9000 was interviewed about the Advice Lines and another member was interviewed for her web camming on the site and Jusdewit8 about the bj's she has given to guys she have met. I know recently a few members were interviewed for winning the Halloween costume contest, but that interview did not stay on the Magazine home page but for a few days.

There is so much potential for promoting this site to the new members that join and even the members that been on the site for some time and that is by ways of the actual members that been on this site that have been successful.

There are many members on this site that have experienced success in finding what they were\are looking for from it that can offer so much advice and suggestions to the new comers that join the site; yet so many of the new members become discouraged because they do not know how to go about finding what they are wanting and looking for.

Everyday there are members that complain in some forum of this site and especially in the Advice Lines and Article sections. The new male members that join this site complain that they get no response from the women and women complaining about the types of emails they receive from male members that join this site; consequently, many members are either discouraged from pursuing the reason they joined this site by deleting and\or canceling their paid membership.

I personally hate to say this, but more and more in my opinion (and many other members) the reputation and purpose of this site is and has suffered due to some of the advertisement techniques of the use of sex.

Of course sex is a hot seller and is a huge profitable business to capitalize on; however, it has also become very closely associated with porn when it comes to being marketed on the internet.

The most important page on this site is the initial home page that a potential new member will make a decision in joining the site. Yet the goal and purpose of the Various Inc. is not fully described on that page to the potential new member an assumption is made by that person as to what type of members are on this site.

Maybe, just maybe if use of members success stories in conjunction with the Various Inc. Goal and Purpose as the main home page of this site each month would help produce a more positive reputation of this site and will increase members joining the site and remaining on this site.

This is not a porn site and is a type of dating site in a way for like minded adults to meet one another with a common interest of sex or to enhancing their sexual knowledge; be it married couples in to the swinging lifestyle looking for sex partners to joining them, to singles that just want to explore their sexuality and experiences (straight, bi-sexual, or gay), to people that believe that sex is one of the most important thing in having a long term relationship, and all the way to couples that read the articles and advice lines to improving on their sex lives, and even so much more then that.

What I am saying and suggesting here is to use the competitions in a way to help in marketing the site to new members and also by having members that have had success on this site give their advice and suggestions to the new members and some of the other members in an interview done by a Various Inc. staff writer in a member\members of the month featured article appearing on the main home page of the site.

In order to try and overcome the problem of favoritism the site should provide an e-mail address that the entries would be sent to. Any identification of the member in the entry would then be removed and given a #. The # would be linked to the member and that info would only be available to the prize notification team. The # would not even show up on the entry that was being judge and not even the member would know the #.

If your going to run a contest that is giving free memberships or something like that away, you need to make it fair for ALL members.

You should
*Announce the contest in a place that ALL SITE MEMBERS will have an equal chance to hear about it, not just the bloggers, (someplace like the members home page in plain sight).

*Make a list of rules to cover what is expected and what will be excepted as an entry in the contest so that all will understand.

*Keep every entry anonymous to the people judging it.

*Give fair time when announcing the contest so all can preppier for the contest.

*Make all prizes suitable for all members like, 3 years Gold membership or CASH equivalent, 1 yeas silver membership or CASH equivalent ( what good is a silver membership going to do for a Gold member? )

To think of a contest to run is something about anyone can do.
To run it like it should be run is another story!!!

Have a great day and good luck with your contests.

In any contest that is thought of..it should not be left up to the blogging community on voting. There would be way too much partiality and favortism. An elected "voting" group should be picked by Andrew and unknown to anyone! I just think it is not fair that the most popular bloggers always win....there are way too many wonderful, creative and inspiring bloggers that are not at the top that deserve the same chances!

Thanks for listening!

Will a submission remain my property? I don't mnd sharing, that's fun. But if this turns up in an Affairlook ad I might be very disappointed.
