Life  Hi, I have always thought on life in comparison to an egg timer & an old cottage. For me i have more sand in the bottom of the glass than the top. That is reality. But it does not deter me from still wanting to enjoy life to the full. I still have plenty of thatch on the roof, and the fire roars greater in the hearth now than it ever did. One thing about getting older, (thou I still consider I'm young). One can look back on past experiences & use it to advantage. As they say, You can't Buy it! & there is no Substitute for it. You are a very intuitive man, Adie! You have seen alot of what I am made up of. I love and embrace tradition and also I had a YA-YA that I spent so many weekends with growing up, she as well had many of sayings as you offered. I was a teen when she passed, and I still every so once in a while think of her, and the things she taught as I grew up. She taught me how to KNIT, (KNIT 1 PEARL 2) crochet, bake, and many of the things that I look for now in individuals, that are CHARACTER Markers. She used to say, HARD WORK BUILDS character, and to boot, she worked til she was 85 years old, I used to get tired just thinking about it. She always used to give little insights into people that meant nothing back then but as Time revealed alot and made sense! Gosh I miss her, and its a very happy time thinking about those good ol days! I would lvoe to try any pie or pudding you made, it would be that little something special! 20. she has hardly spoken to me in 5 yrs. i always send her cards for Xmas & her birthday with money in. we used to be very close but its what my ex has told her that has poison her against me. i cannot make her like me but i do let her know i will not always be here! its not until some one has passed on, you realise how much they meant to you. both my parents passed on in there middle 60's. there are still times when i want to tell them something or ask them advice but have no choice now. on a happier note, i would love & hope i get an opportunity to cook for you as i think you are something special! oh did you get your cam? i got one Thursday £50 but it only cost me £11.99 as i had £38 on my nectar card points i get for the fuel i put in my lorry. its got a headset with audio so i got to set all that up. i put a post on about Quotes, could be interesting! here's another: Life is what you make it! You are a very deep interesting Man that has me INTRIGUED! WELCOME! not only are you a very sexy woman & you are also very interesting, but you are always forth write in your comments, never to shy to say what you think, & you do say the nicest things. If you were my Doc i think i would be ill all the time!..just so i could see you every day!... well maybe things will come together & i will get to meet you?? a lot of my quotes & sayings come from my late mother, she may not have had much, in the way of values, but she had the wisdom & always tried to teach us the values of life! & she taught me how to cook, knit & sew, from the age of 10. so i am pretty self sufficient & you should try my Yorkshire Pudding & my home made Blackberry & Apple Pie! with Ice-cream..Mmmmmm..& as for my Pastry...? like: life's too short - enjoy it while you can! and: life is like a grain of sand - so imagine all the sand on all the beaches & you will have an idea of how short it is! and: if you don't ask - you will never get! and: treat others - how you expect to be treated! oh there is many more that slip my mind at present.
