... Anna Nicole Smith ... .... it's like Marilyn Monroe all over again... ... or is it? ... ... I have been to the Casino where she died... it's right here in Hollywood Fl... within five miles from home.... saw all the media as I drove past it on my way home this afternoon... ... it's sad in a way... she had just lost her 20 year old Danny ... and now has a new little girl who will never know her mother... ...I'm not certain but she most definitely looked like she was very drugged up during her last interview... guess we will know more after the autopsy... ... oh well.... I'm sure there is a reason ... but will we ever know? ....  |

I agree Cor... at least she's at peace... .... and you're right Luv... it was just more noticeable in her last interview... ... my take on her is that she was just genuinely naive... used what she had to get what she wanted... guess it worked ... ... maybe this was a blessing in disguise... her daughter might have a better life from it all.... everything happens for a reason huh Luv? ...

... it's funny you mention that Luv... about her mother... don't recall hearing much about any of her family members... ... it's true Sally... while they had many similarities... they were both individual unto themselves... but like Luv said... Anna's whole public persona seemed to revolve around Marilyn's' look... ... Anna appeared to use her look in much the same fashion as Marilyn... ... Anna had a certain charisma that drove people to watch her through all of her drama... like you said Verri... it was like watching a "real time car wreck" ... ... still a very sad situation to watch... knowing it's a real person inside.... ... just another bit of info... she was apparently here to acquire a boat for her new home in the Bahamas... there were also rumors of methadone use... again... just a rumor...

Sally... much of what is known about these types of folks comes from the difference in what Americans find "entertaining" ... some is just because many folks like to watch drama... in just about any form... ... perhaps this is why someone like Anna has become such a talked about woman... ... the other thought here is that although some could care less about popularity... here in this country it seems it's a favorite past time ... even if it's just that "15 minutes of fame" ... ... I think Anna used her knowledge of Marilyn to help her in the pursuit of a millionaire husband... as well to help her further her ambitions... although I'm not certain what exactly those were... it's not like she was a great actress... nor do I think she had any more ... or less charisma than Marilyn possessed... ... Anna was just Anna... good or bad... and sadly the media will pry into every part of her life... leaving no stone unturned...

I hate to be politically incorrect....OK, I don't hate being politically incorrect....in fact, I relish being politically incorrect....I really, really enjoy it...so, here it is....I don't care....This whole thing is a complete and total waste of time and energy.....and, i don't care who get the gazillion dollars running around...and, I don't care about her screwed up life.....it has not interest or relevance.... There...I got that off my chest....back to being the sweet, innocent, politically incorrect skier....

that's not the bright side...and, that's probably why I'm being so PIC....I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the dump on Bush stuff....at least it's a little amusing...and, way more important...at least in my opinion.

I think Americans watch celebrities because we don't have royalty to gawk at....but, that might just be the cynical skier coming out... Now...how did the cynic get out again....lots of snow around....oh, who knows....

ya know... Anna was originally from Mexia,TX... her real name was Vickie Lynn.... that happens to be my sisters name.... she was one of my idols... no... I didn't look up to her... but somehow I "felt" her... yep... she was fucked up most of the time... yep.... her daughter will most def be better off without her influence.... but still... i loved to watch her.... fat or thin I thought she was gorgeous....

I don't have the right to judge her - only the example she was sitting for her *child*.. Children are my main concern. To take drugs while you are pregnant is, in my opinion, inexcusable..No excuse..NONE!! My true concern is, I hope the people around the child raises her to be strong and not follow her mothers path; when she is grown, and ready to hear about her mother..they will be wise enough to satisfy her curiosity about her beginning, without making her hate her mother.. Anna, was a very lost person, it seemed to me.. You guys are crazy, crazy I tell you - LET ME OUT OF HERE!!

We have to remember the *human* side of all these melodramas.. Like Rosie, Yes, outspoken..but there is a person - .. same as the father who called his daughter a *pig*.. Who are we to judge// Oh is it me judging again? Dang!!
